MerArt creative projects and education

A Spark Ignited

From inspiration to creation, explore the journey that brought this project to life

MerArt was born from a simple idea: to transform creativity into meaningful experiences. What began as a personal artistic practice gradually evolved into a space where art, design, storytelling, and community meet.

Through visual design, social media projects, handmade pieces, and creative workshops, each initiative becomes an opportunity to turn ideas into something tangible. Every concept is developed with curiosity, craftsmanship, and careful attention to detail.

The project has grown thanks to the opportunity to establish my studio at Kulturhuset i Halden, a place where creativity and culture naturally connect with the local community. In collaboration with Expat Network Halden, this environment has made it possible to develop workshops that respond to a shared need: creating spaces where people can meet, learn, and coexist beyond individual differences.

These workshops are designed not only as artistic experiences, but as moments of connection — spaces where creativity becomes a bridge between individuals and cultures.

The support and openness of both organizations have made it possible for this project to take shape and continue growing as a collaborative initiative rooted in art, community, and shared creativity.

the Visionary

Mariana Redondo Gausdal

Mariana, a Venezuelan artist who spent half of her life in Spain and now lives in Norway, has always been guided by a deep curiosity for creativity and human expression. With a background in fine arts, design, and visual storytelling, she envisioned MerArt as a space where ideas, materials, and people could meet, creating projects that connect art, identity, and community.

the network bridge

Christina Gohle

Christina, a linguist and German teacher, is passionate about building bridges between cultures. As a project coordinator for The Expat Network in Østfold and Halden Næringsutvikling, she works to support international communities in Norway by creating events, mentorship programs, and networks that help newcomers feel connected and supported.

the House

Kulturhuset i Halden

Under the leadership of Ellen Midtfjeld, Kulturhuset in Halden has become a vibrant meeting place where culture, creativity, and community come together. As director, she has helped shape the house into an open space where artists, organizations, and local initiatives can collaborate and grow. Kulturhuset offers studios, cultural events, and shared creative environments that encourage dialogue and artistic exchange, making it a living hub where ideas, projects, and people connect.
